I am not a long-time viewer of Y&R so the Danny character is new to me. Was he really supposed to be a rock star? He does not behave, dress or act like any rock star I know. The only music I’ve heard him play is a soft ballad on the piano. Donny Osmond has more pizzazz.

He was a singer before he was an actor believe it or not. I think he’s had at least one song at the top of the Billboards 100’s. I believe that one hit was played heavily on Y&R.

Oh! I did not realize that about the actor, and thank you. I was speaking of the character though. Did “Danny” ever resemble a rock star? Because he sure doesn’t now!

Danny began his career as a teenage rock star doing concerts in Genoa City. He was often joined by Gina, and friends Traci Abbott, Lauren Fenmore and Amy Lewis

The concerts they had way back when were great. Traci and Lauren even sang.

It was the last time I enjoyed singing on y&r.

Just my opinion but I think he should stick to hallmark movies. His days as ‘rock star’ in real life or soap life should have ended long ago.

I agree about Danny not needed anymore to portray a rock star. However, the actor is descent. He can play other types of roles.

Guess I’ll have to take your word for that. The only role I can visualize him in is one as some sort of creepy cult leader trying to brain wash his followers with that weird whispery voice .

I think that his acting is descent and that he is capable of playing other roles. I haven’t seen his Hallmark movies but if he has been in some, I’m sure he was descent in his roles in them or he wouldn’t have been cast in them. Why a cult leader? He isn’t an evil guy, just a wishy washy one. As I said, I agree about him playing a rock star. I am done with him playing a rock star. Regarding his whispering, I think that is part of Danny’s character. I doubt that he whispers when playing other roles.

I don’t think he has been in any of the movies. He is involved in writing and directing. And if you believe that everyone cast in a Hallmark movie is a great actor, or even decent, then I certainly believe it when you say that you haven’t watched them
